We sat outside under the umbrella and watched the crazy drivers and overall traffic of people and cars. The first time there, I thought it was shady because my total was way higher then I expected. I said wait, what?? I said the prices of the three items I ordered but the young male cashier told me, no, the posted prices are "subject to change" which was so shady. So.....they make up prices. The French fries were hot and delicious and not greasy. Absolutely perfect fries and a big portion enough to share. The tacos were hot and fresh and on point. The rice was ok. The beans were better. I liked the outdoor seating and sitting under the umbrella. Interesting especially because that corner is certainly an interesting spot to see the coming and going of lots of people.

Man this place is amazing. It’s a small location but the food is huge !!!! I got the combo #9 and my favorite taco was the tripa dorada !!! I’m here for work and I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Milwaukee

Definitely on our rotation of mexican food in Milwaukee. Los Gallos is on 5 star level and across the board. Some places are great at a couple food items or service but Los Gallos didn't miss on any of the 4 different food items we ordered and service is fantastic. If you've never had tripe or head tacos... try them here. Just outrageously good. When you walk in and there is a spit of pastor you know this is going to be good. Then you sit down and get a dish of onions cucumbers and habenero pepper slices... oh man! Come on! This is real Mexican food. Gringos beware... no complementary chips and salsa nor lime margaritas. This is the real deal. No frills mexican street food. Los gallos... keep it this way! Visit 3 was spectacular! Pastor tostadas just outrageously good. Carne asada fries (a San Diego specialty) were really really well done and not like most San Diego joints were the fries are loaded with asada and sauce. These are really well balanced. Agua frescas are solid. Their Horchata might be the best in the city. Cannot say enough good things about los gallos. Love the people here... super friendly. Steak burrito, tripe taco, head taco and pastor taco. Incredibly good food.

I have been searching for al pastor that is freshly sliced off the spigot. Hot, tender, juicy meat that had just all the right spices. I will highly recommend this joint. You guys definitely know how to make this one happy girl with a full belly.
